FAQs

When do I need to RSVP?

Please RSVP by May 15th through the RSVP page on this site!

When should I book my accommodations?

We recommend booking sooner rather than later! June is a popular time to visit the Santa Ynez Valley, and accommodations tend to fill up quickly, especially during weekends. We encourage guests to secure their stay as early as possible to ensure the best availability and options.

Where should I stay?

We've reserved the entire Landsby hotel in Solvang for our friends over the wedding weekend! It's where the Welcome Party will be, where the late-night crew will be, and we'd love to fill it with our favorite people.

For other options, including beautiful nearby resorts and vacation rentals for families and groups, visit our Accommodations page. We recommend booking early, as June is a popular time in wine country!

Are kids welcome?

Our wedding on Saturday is an adults-only celebration, with the exception of a few little ones in our immediate families who'll join us for the ceremony. We hope this gives you a chance to let loose for the night! Kids are welcome to join us for the Welcome Party on Friday.
If you're traveling with children and need childcare for Saturday, we've included a recommended service below. We're also happy to share a few personal recommendations, so please don't hesitate to reach out!

What's the attire?

Welcome Party — Wine Country Chic
Wedding — Black Tie

The ceremony and reception will take place outdoors, so please plan your footwear accordingly. Evenings in the valley can be cool, so a light layer is encouraged.

Which airport should I fly into?

Santa Barbara (SBA) is the closest and most convenient airport, just 40 minutes away, though nonstop flights are limited. Los Angeles (LAX) is approximately 2.5 hours away but offers more direct flights and often better fares. Both are great options depending on where you're traveling from!

Can private cars be arranged from the airport?

Yes! We're planning to coordinate transportation from LAX to the Santa Ynez Valley for guests who are interested. If you'd like to take advantage of this service, please indicate your interest when you RSVP so we can plan accordingly. From Santa Barbara Airport (SBA), Uber, Lyft, and taxis are available for the approximately 40-minute drive.

How do I get around the Santa Ynez Valley?

Rental cars are a great option for exploring the valley. Uber and Lyft are also available, though they can be less reliable in more rural areas. For a dependable alternative, we recommend arranging a local taxi in advance.

Is there transportation to the Welcome Party?

The Welcome Party is at The Landsby, so if you're staying there, just head downstairs. If you're staying elsewhere, it's a short drive or rideshare into Solvang; we're not running shuttles on Friday.

Is the wedding outdoors? What will the weather be like?

Yes! The ceremony, dinner, and dancing will all take place outdoors at La Tarantella. Late June in the Santa Ynez Valley is typically warm and sunny, with temperatures in the high 70s to low 80s during the day and cooling into the 60s after sunset.

Is parking available at the venue?

No, guest parking and rideshare drop-offs are not permitted at La Tarantella. We'll be providing shuttles to and from the venue on Saturday, with pickup locations at or near our recommended hotels. Please plan to ride with us! Shuttle schedules and pickup details will be shared closer to the wedding.

How do I get to the after party?

Shuttles will take guests from La Tarantella to Maverick's Saloon following the reception. For those calling it a night, shuttles will also run directly back to the hotels. More details on shuttle timing will be shared closer to the wedding.
